Lanolin Soap for Wool Care
Lanolin soap is specially designed for cleaning and caring for woolen textiles such as wool diaper covers, wool nappies, and other wool baby products. Its high lanolin content gently cleans the fabric while helping maintain the natural protective properties of wool.
This soap is ideal for spot cleaning stains on wool nappies or diaper covers without completely removing the wool’s natural lanolin layer. As a result, the textile often does not require re-impregnation after cleaning.
Lanolin soap can also be used to create a soap solution combined with pure lanolin during the process of lanolizing wool textiles.

Lanolin soap is an essential product for maintaining wool items, helping keep them clean, soft, and naturally functional.
Tip:
When wool diaper covers are worn and washed regularly, the natural lanolin layer gradually disappears. Re-treating the wool with lanolin from time to time helps restore its protective properties.
How to lanolise wool with lanoline?
You need:
• pure lanolin (wool grease)
• soap as an emulsifier
• 1 bowl of lukewarm water
• 1 bowl of hot water
• one or more damp, washed wool covers
Instructions:
1) Dissolve some soap in lukewarm water
2) Dissolve lanolin in hot water (about 1/2 teaspoon lanolin per nappy)
3) Pour the soap solution into the lanolin bath and stir until the fat eyes disappear and a milky emulsion forms.
4) Now, turn the diaper inside out and put the washed wool diaper into the bowl - make sure that the water is no longer hot.
5) Let the wool diaper sit in the solution for 5-6 hours
6) Take out the wool cover and squeeze it out carefully – Don't wring it! Use a towel to squeeze out even more water.
7) Finally, let it dry flat
